Since being named the starting QB of the Green Bay Packers on September 27, 1992 vs the Steelers, Brett Favre never missed a game spanning 18 1/2 consecutive seasons. Brett Favre now holds the record for the most consecutive starts by ANY player in the NFL with 297 (321 including playoffs). Brett Favre has stated that of all the records he holds, he is most proud of the consecutive starts streak!
Brett Favre had some significant injuries during his career but that didn’t disrupt his record pace. Some of the injuries Brett Favre suffered were shoulder separation, deep thigh bruise, severely bruised left hip, severe left ankle sprain, broken left thumb, mild concussions, injured ulnar nerve right elbow, groin pull, left knee ligament strain, torn biceps & stress fracture left ankle.
On December 13, 2010 due to a sprain of his AC joint right shoulder Brett Favre was inactive for the game vs the NY Giants ending his consecutive start streak. Here is a great video where Brett Favre talks about playing through the game with injuries!
